Throughout the better part of 2021 when the Covid-19 shots were rolling out throughout the world, something just didn’t sit right with me. I know what you’re probably thinking, “Oh great, here is yet another article from one of those anti-vaxxer conspiracy nuts!”. No matter what side of the Covid shots you come down on, this article isn’t about trying to convince people to not take them as most anyone who was going to take it, has already done so. While I have decided not to take the jab for a whole litany of reasons, the idea behind this piece revolves around believers of God taking them and the potential consequences of choosing to accept these into our bodies. Please stick with me here as I explain what’s been weighing so heavily on my thoughts for over a year now!
The pandemic started taking a foothold here in the United States around March of 2020 causing most everything to full halt. The masks were quickly pushed along with social distancing just about everywhere overnight. After a few weeks of “Doing my part” wearing a mask, keeping my distance from others and paying much closer attention to the news than ever before, something wasn’t adding up. The information coming from the media and government wasn’t lining up with what I was witnessing day-to-day or watching from independent content creators and news outlets. If the virus was so bad, why was it that the data being presented wasn’t translating in my community or the large city I live right next too?
Since we are all well aware now of how 2020 went down, I’m going to jump forward to the vaccine rollouts. By the time these shots were being rolled out around the beginning of 2021, the reasoning behind taking one really didn’t make much sense. I had yet to hear of anyone I knew or came in contact with having died or been hospitalized from Covid. Just to give you an idea of how large my circle has been throughout this so-called pandemic, I work onsite at a large corporation interacting with people and their computers doing IT. While most people were at home, I was onsite. When co-worker’s laptops needed to be physically handled, they brought them in to us. Believe me when I say, peoples laptops are downright vile. I’ve handled computers with everything from spit, body oil, lotion, food, coffee, cat urine and even baby vomit on these things. Of course, almost nobody bothers to clean their laptops before bringing them in, they just hand them over to us geeks.
I think I’ve gotten my point across, so we’ll move on. If there was any chance of anyone being exposed to Covid, it was myself and the many other IT staff in close proximity all around me every day. My concerns with all the flavors of these Covid shots were many. I couldn’t understand the logic behind taking them when I wasn’t witnessing anyone get sick or pass away. The media and governments around the world were preaching ever escalating numbers of deaths and infections, yet that wasn’t what myself or anyone I knew was experiencing. The next issue I had was how these vaccines were rolled out in less than a year when all previous vaccines had to go through about ten years or testing before even having the chance of being approved. Even if things were so bad that these had to be rushed to the public, weren’t we all just being test-subjects? The other intriguing thing to me was that from everything I’ve researched these shots weren’t created using a sample of the original virus. Something even the standard flu shots are created from each year. This just didn’t add up!
If I haven’t lost you yet, then I may now with what I’m about to say. The shots use MRNA which in a nutshell alters ones genetic code when injected into the bloodstream. That’s an oversimplification so I don’t go off on a tangent, but is very much something everyone should look into. For those who aren’t aware, most of the substances in these shots hadn’t been injected into people before. Only lab mice which inevitably died. If you want to delve more into everything around the pandemic and these shots, I’ll provide a few resources at the end of this article for you to explore. Let’s keep moving or I’ll really go down a rabbit hole. No way was I going to put something inside me that changed me at a genetic level, even if it was supposedly safe. This brought me to thinking about my faith in Christ Jesus and everything I grew up learning in church about trusting in God to protect and not living in fear.
The Bible has about 365 instances throughout it where verses say, “Fear Not” and “Do Not Fear”. Do a quick search online for “how many times is do not be afraid in bible” and many results come up that corroborate the same number. As believers in Christ, we are to have faith that he will keep us safe. I’m not so naive as to take this to mean that we are immune from viruses, but we are to lay our fears before Christ. This takes me back to what I wasn’t seeing from this virus. I didn’t know or hear of anyone being hospitalized or dying from Covid over the eight or so months it had supposedly been raging through the population. At no point was I ever living in fear of catching this virus and falling anymore ill than catching a seasonal flu. Even the times when I did come in contact with someone who was coughing or seemed like they could be sick, I wasn’t any more concerned than at any other point in my life. You may be thinking, “well just because you weren’t scared doesn’t mean others weren’t.” and I completely agree.
For those who were scared of the virus and believed in the vaccines, it then comes down to knowing what we are choosing to put inside our bodies. Going back to the Bible, God blessed us with our bodies and entrusts us to take care of them. The passage, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 says,
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
This very passage is where I think each believer should stop, think, pray and take the steps to understand what the MRNA and other substances in these shots do when inside us. Again, I’ll provide some links at the end for you to start your own walk towards looking into these. My research led me to these shots being experimental and altering ones DNA. The data overwhelmingly shows that these shots defile Gods temple, or dare I say it, sicken us by putting toxic substances into it. We are made in God’s image and the Bible teaches us that God doesn’t make mistakes. We are pure and innocent when we come into this world and it’s our responsibility to not defile God’s temple for any reason.
Now we get to what it may possibly mean for the believers who take one of these shots for some reason. Remember, at no time was anyone forced to take these, they have always been a choice we each get to make. Yes, a lot of fear has pushed people into believing they have to take the shot or lose their jobs. That is still a choice each one of us is making out of fear of what may happen though. I don’t believe these shots should be around or even be a choice for that matter, but that’s what I believe and you are welcome to your own opinion. The question that I come to is, what if those who are believers do choose to take the shot when God so clearly states, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”?
Are those who take these gene editing shots changing their lifeblood from that which God created? Aren’t those believers choosing to then put their faith in man to keep them safe using science rather than trusting in God to protect them? The only answer that I’ve been able to reconcile is that we would be turning away from God by taking these injections. I had a family member say to me, “Well, you’ve gotten vaccines at other points in your life and you never had an issue with them”. I replied with, “That’s correct, but those didn’t change my genetic code which was designed by God”.
For those believers who have taken the Covid shot, I can’t help but wonder if they are renouncing their walk with God. I have never agreed with the narrative that is pushed in churches that once you’re saved in this life, you are going to heaven even if you stumble along the way. As believers our eyes have been opened to what is right and wrong. We are to follow God’s laws and repent when we stumble. However, we also have the right in this life to go against God or even outright renounce him. Wouldn’t we be doing just that, if we instead put our faith in Science and man to change our genetic code? The only answer I’ve been able to come up with is that choosing to accept anything that alters us at the base level is a pushing away of God. Thus, a renouncement of our walk with him.
Lastly, my thoughts turned to what a believer can do after realizing the incredibly horrible mistake they made. At this time, it doesn’t appear that anything can undo the genetic changes caused by these shots. What that means for the earthly body, only time will tell. The spirit is what each believer should ultimately be concerned with though as eternity is, forever. Sincere repentance to God acknowledging this horrible misstep would ultimately be the only chance to get back in God’s good graces, one would think. Whether God would accept us back is something none of us can possibly know, but I believe that if one is sincere in their repentance to him, then it could very well be possible to salvage ones walk with him for eternity.
